Driver Faces Serious Columbia SC Drug Charges

On October 16^th, another routine traffic stop in Columbia, SC yielded another major drug bust.

The 36-year-old driver who was pulled over, according to reports had $33,000 worth of marijuana. He faces several drug charges, including manufacturing, possession, and intent to distribute.

According to Columbia officers, they pulled him over because of the strong odor of marijuana emanating from his car. When they searched the vehicle, they found a “leafy green substance” in plain view, in the car inside a white envelope. They also discovered 11 marijuana plants while searching the car – five in a trash bag in the back seat, and six in another trash bag in the vehicle’s trunk.

The estimated street value of the entire haul was $33,000.
