Bakari Sellers Recognized in Ebony Magazine’s Power 100

We are very proud to announce that our own Bakari Sellers has been named in Ebony magazine’s “The Ebony Power 100.”

Ebony selected the top 100 emerging leaders in sports, academia, religion, business, environment, science & tech, entertainment, arts and letters, fashion, politics, media, activism and health.

Bakari, age 26, was recognized for his work in politics due to his role as a member of the South Carolina General Assembly and for his focus on the “constantly growing socioeconomic divide.”

He was elected to serve South Carolina’s 90th district, which covers Bamberg, Barnwell, and Orangeburg in 2006, at the age of 22, making him the youngest black legislator in the United States.

Bakari was listed along side other notable figures such as President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney General.

Sellers graduated from Morehouse College in 2005 and obtained his law degree at the University of South Carolina in 2008.

In October, Bakari was recognized in Time Magazine’s Top 40 under 40.

Bakari has worked for Strom Law Firm, LLC since 2007 and devotes his time as an attorney to criminal cases, personal injury cases, business development and municipal finance matters, as well as civil rights violations including matters brought under 18 USC 1983 alleging a deprivation of prisoner rights.

We are proud of Bakari’s accomplishments and extend our sincerest congratulations to him for this honor.
