Fiancé of Teen Mom 2 Star Charged with Domestic Abuse

Dad of Teen Mom 2 Star’s Child Charged with Domestic Abuse of Fiancée

The fiancé of MTV’s hit “Teen Mom 2” was charged with domestic abuse and later released from a jail in South Carolina.

Jenelle Evans, 22, is the star of the show. She has a son with fiancé Nathan Griffith, 27, who co-stars with her and her child. The pair currently live in Socastee, South Carolina.

According to police reports, the couple were filming at their home on Thursday, March 5th, when they got into an argument. Griffith reportedly pinned Evans to the toilet in the master bathroom of their home, and forcibly removed her engagement ring, which cut her finger.

Griffith, however, claims that he never touched Evans, and that she removed the ring herself, which caused the cut.

The couple have been together for several years and share a 5 year old son. Evans has another child by a previous boyfriend, who still lives with Evans’s mother.

In January, Griffith proposed to Evans while they were on vacation in the Caribbean. However, entertainment writers have reported that the pair have been fighting “non-stop” since the engagement. Radar Online reports that Evans has removed nearly all references to Griffith in her social media posts.

Both Evans and Griffith have had previous run-ins with South Carolina law enforcement officers. Evans was charged in February with not having her driver’s license in her possession while she was driving, and Griffith was charged with his third DUI in December 2013, and spent 30 days in jail.

After the domestic abuse incident, Griffith was ordered by a judge not to have contact with his fiancée until his next court date, which will be in 30 to 45 days. He can also only have supervised visits with his child with Evans, and cannot return to his Socastee home without a police escourt.

The domestic abuse was allegedly filmed by an MTV camera crew, which was capturing footage for Season 6 of “Teen Mom 2.” There is no word if the footage will be used in court, but fans of the show will most likely witness the alleged domestic abuse incident themselves later this year.
