The 5 Current MDLs Against Transvaginal Mesh Manufacturers

While the US District Court of West Virginia decides if it will create a sixth multidistrict litigation (MDL) to collect a growing number of cases against transvaginal mesh and surgical mesh kit manufacturers, five MDLs are in place and currently hearingshutterstock_566157988 bellwether trials against medical device manufacturers. This MDL focuses on all the cases brought forth regarding C.R. Bard’s mesh devices, which include the following products:

In a recent landmark victory for victims of mesh support systems, Christine Scott and her husband were awarded $5.5 million in damages for Mrs. Scott’s faulty Avaulta mesh support system.

This MDL, and three others, is overseen by the Honorable Judge Joseph R. Goodwin in the US District Court of West Virginia.
