It’s the height of the holiday season. With last minute shopping and deals to be had, many of us find it easier to grab dinner at a drive-thru rather than eat a health meal at home. According to the movie documentary called Super Size Me, each day, 1 in 4 Americans visits a fast food restaurant.
In 1972, we spent 3 billion a year on fast food – today we spend more than $110 billion.
Do you like swinging by your favorite fast food restaurant and grabbing food to eat at home? If you are like most Americans, you must.
A new survey out of England found that the average person eats take-out approximately 2,875 times in their lifetime. Based on the 62 years you’re an adult between and 18 and 80, that means you eat take-out approximately 46 times a year.
The cost of all that food is nearly $27,000!!
The survey said 28% of people surveyed said they eat carryout about once every two weeks. 26% said weekly, 9% said twice a week, and 6% said three times a week or more.
The most popular reason for eating out was people not in the mood to cook and getting take out was just easier.
