Joanie graduated from the College of Charleston in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After graduating from College of Charleston, she obtained a certificate in paralegal studies from The National Center of Paralegal Training in Atlanta, Georgia. Joanie also has a SC real estate license and her adjuster’s license.
Joanie has worked in various areas of law including workers compensation, environmental law, personal injury and civil defense. Having worked on both the plaintiff and defense sides of the law, she understands the needs and day-to-day operation of the legal community. Joanie and her husband have owned and operated the successful catering and event planning business “A Taste of Prosperity” for over 20 years.
Joanie’s role as the community manager for Barrister Hall allows her to use her experiences in law, real estate and hospitality to do what she likes best; to be able to connect others to community and solutions and to foster camaraderie, collaboration and convenience in the day-to-day work environment.
Joanie resides in Chapin with her husband Todd and their 3 children. They are active at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church and in the Chapin community and enjoy beautiful Lake Murray.
