Seatbelts Save Lives

Interstate Accident Serves as a Reminder to Buckle UpThe July 19th accident serves a reminder to always buckle up. SUV’s like the Ford Explorer involved in the accident are prone to rollovers. In fact, according to statistics, SUV’s are three times more likely to rollover than a sedan. SUVs have a high center of gravity and narrow track width making the automobile unstable and more likely to rollover.

Rollovers can cause passengers, like those involved in the accident, to be thrown from the vehicle with incredible force. Wearing a seat belt can greatly reduce the risk of being ejected from a vehicle in the event of a rollover accident or other type of accident. Always make sure there are enough seat belts in a vehicle for passengers riding in it. It is never safe for infants or children to ride in the laps of adults.
