Suzuki is issuing a recall on two of their vehicles due to a defective headlight. Suzuki vehicles subject to recall include 2004-2006 Forenza models and 2005-2006 Reno models manufactured from September 23, 2003 through March 7, 2006.
The recall notice states that a wiring malfunction in the vehicles can cause intermittent or total loss of low and/or high beam headlight functions. The wiring malfunction can lead to reduced driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
The recall is scheduled to begin in September. Owners who believe their vehicles may be affected can take their vehicles to a dealer for a free inspection. If dealer finds the vehicle defective, they will perform the necessary services to fix the problem free of charge. For more information, owners may contact Suzuki directly at 1-714-996-7040 and reference the NU recall. Additional recall details may also be found on the NHTSA’s website under recall number 12V397000.
