George Brian Boedecker, Jr., was arrested in Boulder last Sunday for a DUI and blamed the event on non-other than famous singer and star Taylor Swift.
Boedecker was arrested after a witness found him unconscious behind the wheel of his Porsche. He had parked partially on the sidewalk and left the car running, and claimed that he was just taking a nap. He was immediately arrested for DUI The police report describes the 51 year old as uncooperative and verbally abusive. According to the report, he also said the arresting officer was his “enemy for life” and his girlfriend was a really famous singer, and she was the one driving. Who was she? Taylor Swift, apparently.
According to Boedecker, he and Swift had gotten into an argument and she had left to go back to Nashville. Officers found no sign of her or any other second driver.
Swift, 22, is a country pop singer who resides in Nashville and is dating Conor Kennedy, the grandson of Robert Kennedy. There is no evidence that she was anywhere but Nashville on the night in question.
Boedecker was CEO of Crocs from 2002 through 2004, and resigned from their board in 2006. He is free on $500 bail.
